Yo feliz, delante de mi poster premiado.
La conferencia a la que asistí en Orlando se llama SPIE Medical Imaging. Es una conferencia internacional que tiene lugar todos los años y que atrae a muchísimos investigadores de todas partes del mundo. Son un conjunto de 8 conferencias en paralelo. Hasta la fecha se desarrollaba en San Diego, California, pero este año y por primera vez, se hizo en Orlando, Florida, en uno de los resorts de Disney. Siempre es en Febrero, así que podéis ver que los lugares elegidos tienen que ver con el clima también, ya que en estos dos sitios siempre hace sol.
Este año, me aceptaron 3 artículos, de 12 páginas cada uno. Esto ha sido muchísimo trabajo para mí. Me aceptaron dos artículos como poster y uno como presentación oral, asi que tenía un poco de todo, y a parte de escribir los artículos pues me tuve que preparar una presentación y dos posters. Os podéis imaginar la locura de las últimas semanas, en conjunto con el aterrizaje en un país nuevo donde muchas cosas son bien distintas.
La conferencia fue muy bien, muy interesante, y me puso muy muy contenta que premiaran uno de mis posters con Cum Laude como mejor poster de la conferencia de Image Processing, fue todo un honor! Aunque acabé agotadísima del super esfuerzo que tuve que hacer para llevarlo todo adelante, valió la pena estar allí.

The conference I attended in Orlando is called SPIE Medical Imaging, and it is one of the biggest conferences of medical image processing in the world. It is an international conference that takes place every year and attracts many researchers from different parts of the world. It is formed by 8 conferences running in parallel. Until now, it used to take place in San Diego, California, but this year, and for the first time, it happened in Orlando, Florida, in one of the Disney's resorts. It is always in February, so one can see that the location chosen has to do with the weather, since in these places it is always sunny.
This year, I got three papers accepted, two as posters and one as oral presentation. This was a lot of work to me, especially if we add the landing on a new country where things are quite different from what I am used to.
The conference went very well and it was very interesting. I was very happy because they awarded one of my posters with Cum Laude, as the best poster for the conference of Image Processing. It was a honor! Even if I ended the conference very tired because of all the effort done, it was totally worth it!
